Laslow is higienic to a fault. Some would say he is obsessed with cleanliness. Laslow has a highly developed paracortex, which enhances his empathic and telepathic capabilities. He works through meditation to restrain the urge to reach into others mind to communicate. Laslow is slow to anger, but is influenced by anothers rage. Laslow disapointed his family by joining Starfleet. They wanted him to study Psychology on Betazed. His studies in Starship Operations and Command School led to further disappointment. He overcompensates by striving, sometimes too hard, to succeed. Laslow makes friends easily. He has a calm demeanor and friendly smile which attracts other to him instantly. Laslow works to be comfortable and at ease in a crowd, he prefers solitude and meditation. Most who know and love him know that he must be coaxed into social situations.

Laslow Thrash was born into a well-educated family in the Flascion Region on Betazed. He spent his entire life on the planet, enjoying trips with his father to the University, where his parents both taught. He loves his home planet, and visits as often as possible. Laslow showed an extremely high aptitude for empathic and telepathic ability and function. He was trained from the age of seven at the coveted Raleon Monestary under the tutaledge of Tiban Monk along with two others: Roland Broan and Caleb Wills. Wills currently serves in Starfleet - Broan's wereabouts are currently unknown.

During a stint aboard the USS Britannia, Laslow was coopted and mesmerized by Broan - forced to join him in meditation along with Wills - a plot by the then UFP Presidential Candidate Dan Cook (later elected President in a landslide) - to help sway several systems in Cook's favor... while in the employ of Section 31 several malicious and depsicable actes were performed against what Cook and Section 31 deemed 'enemies of the state', and the news media was manipulated through Broan's brand of mind manipulation... the crux was that Cook became President, and nearly, with Section 31, Broan, Wills and Thrash's help, started another war with the Dominion.

Thrash still blames himself to the point of nightmares.... and yet...
... and yet the draw of the euphoria of the Meditation of The Three still calls to him...

Most of this is classified and only those with intelligence training know more than the press has reported.

Laslow finished seventh in his class at Starfleet Academy, and dealt for a time with the disapointment of not finishing first. He overcame the depression to finish second in his class in Command School and first in his class in Starship Operations secondary training school. He served for a temporary term on DS-101 as assistant COO, where he helped catch and capture a traitor. He accepted the accolades of his command, but turned down an offer to stay on the Deep Space Station to pursue an appointment on board a Star Ship, much prefering the adventure of travel to distant stars.
