The sleek outlines of the fighters brandished a stark contrast to the gray-and-black background of the Journeyman's shuttlebay. Laslow listened intently as Marc ran through the post-flight checklist with his crew seconds before they touched down on the deck. He had become accustomed to the telepathic link they shared... and knew that they would both share the same with Arianna - the thrid member of what would become, according to Fionda's conversation with Roland, "The New Three."

Laz's thoughts drifted to the second day of his training at The Temple of Sorae: Tiban Monk had strode slowly, purposefully through the Great Hall... wandering between the sandstone tables where Laslow, Caleb and Roland sat cross-legged, waiting for instruction. Old Tiban had shaken his head at each of them: "You three make up what the Ancients called "The Circle of knowledge," he said in his gravely rasp, "but what I see are three children who don't know the meaning of the word discipline." He had taken the opportunity to push Roland gently from his perch. the other two had laughed... Roland knelt and said his apologies before returning to his place. "Before we're done here," Monk said quietly while staring blankly into the Betazed sky, "you will have the abilities, when together in meditation, to change the Universe."

Laslow's thoughts returned to the cockpit; he followed Marc's telepathic instructions - exhiliarated at the procedures... the Ops Officer coming out in full force. Laslow tapped his comm badge and communicated briefly with the Operations Team; letting them know that he was back and ready to command Journeyman's Operations.

He glanced at the galery; the balconied area where visitors waited to greet shuttle inhabitants. Halani, Laz's Imzadi, was there... he'd never seen a more beautiful sight. He saw Arianna beside her... his mind reached out and he instantly felt the connection between himself, Marcus and Arianna begin to take shape... he hadn't felt the sensation since the Temple and wanted more... Laz hungrily pushed into the two minds of "The New Three"...

Busy piloting the smaller craft, Marc rolled his eyes. ~Laz... I need to focus. This thing doesn't land softly...~ Rotating the craft, he landed at the back of the bay, shaking his head. The cockpit depressurized, and he climbed from it. Decending the ladder pushed up to him, he walked off to the side. He was suddenly tired, and he realised he hadn't slept well since leaving the Journeyman. He would probably take a nap as soon as he could. In his nice... comfy office chair. Seemed perfect.

Laslow nodded. ~I'm with you, brother.~ He stepped from the craft and winked at Yalane, gesturing as if to scratch her ear. Laz ran up the flight of stairs to the bay's observation deck and hugged Halani vigerously. "Imzadi!" He said into her voluminous black hair. Laslow kissed her and whispered. "Roland's dead." He smiled at Halani's nod... as simply and quickly as that the nightmare that was Roland Broan was behind them.

Laslow turned to Arianna and grinned. "Permission to come aboard," he said openly, the smile still on his face, "Captain."

Marcus followed his companion up the stairs lazily. He yawned, and shook his head, clearing his mind up a bit more. "Good to see you ma'am."

Laslow looked almost desparate... why would the CO ; the person Fionda had assured him was part of the 'New Three' look at him without speaking... was it the abduction... was it Roland??? He felt her moving to consiousness...

Laz glanced quickly at Marcus and shrugged, the youthful expression drifting slowly from his face. He nodded again at Yalane before turning back to Arianna. "Thank you M'am." he said quickly. He took Halani's hand and moved toward the doors.
